We hope to see you all next Monday!
We had our first meeting this past Monday to discuss recruiting new members, our big interesting meeting next Monday, and what we hope to accomplish as a club this year. In case you missed it, below are the highlights from the meeting.
1. Daniel is planning on having 24 hour film festival this semester on the weekend of March 26th. The entry fee for three-person teams will be nine dollars and the theme will be Vampires. Details are still sketchy while we are waiting on a location for the screening.
2. Alex drew up a survey to plan for events and socials to have throughout
the semester. The survey is being sent via email, and she asks for everyone
to fill it out as soon as you can. Also, Alex is making new flyers for AMP
as well as designing T-shirts for the club!
3. We might be trying to start up a Relay for Life team this semester. We
just need to see how many people will be committed or want to be involved.
4. CinemaTech’s first screening is this Thursday. Paul Harrill will be showing “Best
Years of Our Lives” at Pamplin Auditorium at 7 p.m. We hope to see you there!
5. People are encouraged to start pitching ideas at next week’s meeting. Allison just asks that if anyone is interested in pitching, he or she should send her an email so
she can plan accordingly. It is not required, but she would appreciate it.
6. And lastly, we need to recruit, recruit, recruit! If you can speak in
front of any cinema classes, do! Monday will probably be best, that way it
will be fresh in people’s minds for the meeting that night.
Have a good week and we hope to see everyone next Monday night!
Hey everyone,
Just a reminder about our regular meeting tomorrow night at 9:30 in 1120 Torgersen Hall. If you have any work that you’ve done over the semester that you’d like to show off and talk about please bring it tonight.
Also, be thinking about how you might be able to help AMP next year in an officer position. We will have officer elections at our final meeting on Dec 7. Here are the available officer positions and their responsibilities:
President: Organize weekly meetings, coordinate with other officers to plan and run the club.
Vice-president: Work closely with the president in his responsibilities, plan a 24-hour film festival.
Secretary: Record meeting minutes and send out over listserv.
Public Relations: Oversee the promotion of AMP.
Webmaster: Update and maintain the website.
Social Chair: Coordinate social events like screenings.
Secretary, public relations, or social chair are great if this is your first semester with AMP and want to get involved.

Project Isaac began filming last Saturday. It was an overall
successful shoot. Gordon is looking to have the first scene
edited to show to AMP in the next couple of weeks. The group is
planning on shooting this weekend. I doesn’t look like

needed. However, Gordon will be looking for extra grips on
future shoots. If you are interested in assisting, contact
Gordon.
Kevin is planning to shoot his film over Thanksgiving break. If
you are around Blacksburg during that week and are interested in
helping, contact Kevin.

filming promotional videos for the Baseball team. These videos
will play on Hokiesports.com. I am in charge of the project and
I would love to meet with anyone interested and start

expressed interest I will be in contact soon to set up a meeting
time.
